How to take control of your completion date

Completion: it’s the end goal every buyer and seller is aiming for. This is the day when the conveyancing solicitors involved orchestrate the final phase. Once the seller’s solicitor confirms they are in receipt of the buyer’s mortgage funds, the new ownership of the property is ratified by the dating and transfer of the title deeds. It is only then that the keys to the property are released to the new owner.

The date of completion, however, can be a cause of concern for some sellers - especially if there are lots of people in a chain to accommodate.
