Open Property Group became a proud member of the Haven House 100 Club in September 2019. As a member of the 100 Club, we vouch to achieve an annual fundraising goal of £1,000 for Haven House Children’s Hospice. Fortunately, we have already exceeded this target within the first two months of our sponsorship.
Open Property Group have chosen Haven House Children’s Hospice as we are passionate and believe in their vision to provide care for children aged from birth to 19, with a life-limited or life-threatening condition and support to their families. This charity is on a remarkable mission, and is working hard to provide palliative and holistic care services to babies, children and young people. Haven House have to date supported over 900 families. Their initial ideology to create a purpose-built children’s hospice has dramatically evolved, and the charity now offers a Holistic Care Centre as well as music therapy, physiotherapy and therapeutic yoga.
Our first fundraising event took place on Wednesday 19 November 2019. The Open Property Group’s team organised a football fundraising event. The teams consisted of office workers vs building contractors, and the event was a great success! We are humbled by the many generous people who donated to our event and are proud to say that we significantly exceeded our £1,000 target, and raised £1,253.97.
We take pride in the work which we do for this charity and will do our best to support their mission. We aim to organise twice-yearly fundraising events for Haven House Children’s Hospice in aid to support their goal of supporting 500 families a year.

Instead of our usual secret Santa gift exchanges, this year we decided to collect items for a local charity named ‘Give and share’. We chose to support this charity as they distribute Christmas boxes to local families in need and to children who sadly spend the Christmas period in hospital. Everyone within the team generously purchased various clothing, food and toiletry items which will be handed to the beneficiaries of the charity.
OPG takes great pride in giving back to the community and we were proud to be a part of this wonderful charity. We believe that their manifesto meaningfully represents the true meaning of Christmas; as it is by giving and sharing that we can support and help those in most need of a magical Christmas. Merry Christmas to all from the OPG team!
In March 2020 the UK received the unpreceded news that places of social gatherings, schools, places of work and industries would close for the foreseeable future. This new came to huge shock to many across the country as now more than ever, we would rely on the support and work of hospital workers. Mindful of this, OPG created a fundraising page to raise money to purchase items for the Wexham Park Hospital staff. Our target was to raise £300 but in a short period of time we raised an impressive £529 in just under three weeks.
Members of the team purchased items such as long-lasting foods, toiletries, food luxuries and general home essentials for the essential workers at our local hospital. As we promised, we used the £300 raised to purchase items and donated the remaining £208 as a cash donation to the hospital’s charity.
